How to: Determine the language version of Windows 95.
Solution:
Open the 'Winver.exe Properties' dialog box for the file Winver.exe. Click the 'Version' tab. Select 'Language' to display the language version in the 'Value' text box.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Find' and select 'Files or Folders...'. (The 'Find: All Files' dialog box appears.)
3) In the 'Named' box, type the following:
Winver.exe
4) Click 'Find Now'. (The results appear in a file list box at the bottom of the 'Find: All files' dialog box.)
5) Select 'Winver.exe' from the file list box.
6) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Properties'. (The 'Winver.exe Properties' dialog box appears.)
7) Click the 'Version' tab. (The 'Version' tabbed page appears.)
8) Select 'Language' from the 'Item name' list box in the 'Other Version Info' group. (The language version of Windows 95 appears in the 'Value' list box.)
9) Click 'OK' to close the 'Winver.exe Properties' dialog box.
10) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close' to close the 'Find: All files' dialog box.
